Rainbow over Pleasant ParkConifer, Colorado is the hub of a number of communities located along US Highway 285 west of Denver. It was originally settled in the 1800s as a ranching community and stage and freight stop for people moving on to the high country gold fields. Today people are still attracted to the area by its abundant natural beauty way from the urban environment of the city. Conifer has a good selection of retail centers and services along with medical centers and public bus transportation to Evergreen and Denver daily.

Conifer Safeway CenterResidents here prefer larger lots with plenty of privacy. Population density is deceptive. The outstanding forests of aspen, spruce, fir and pine, which cover the hillsides and provide a magnificent setting for many of the homes found here, create a sense of seclusion and a country atmosphere. Yet residents enjoy an easy commute along Highway 285 to almost anywhere in Denver and to the best skiing in the world.

Local Elk ConventionConifer is a quiet bedroom community of Denver. Subdivisions, such as Conifer Mountain, Conifer Ridge, Kings Valley and Rancho Mirage, to name a few, provide a quality mountain lifestyle within a short commute to Denver as well as the many of the world’s best ski areas.
